In Key Stage 1, children will have a levelled maths game sent home every other
week, alongside their home learning. In Key Stage 2, children will have a levelled maths game sent home as part of their home learning around twice a term. See Maths Policy for more information.
Every week, the children at Trinity complete a maths club sheet. This enables them
to practise their mental maths skills under timed conditions. The club sheets highlight any
areas the children might be unsure of.
The club sheets will form part of a weekly competition at Trinity where each class compete to win the club sheet trophy.
See Maths Policy for more information.
Loops of Learning in maths:
At Trinity, we use a planning and learning tool called ‘Loops of Learning’. This allows the children to see where their learning is going and what their next steps are. It enables them to take ownership of their learning and reflect on their individual targets. At the end of each ‘loops journey’, the children are faced with a challenge of their choice!
