Wild Place- Thursday 11th July

What a fantastic day Year 2 had at Wild Place! We explored the park, visiting all the animals and discovering many interesting facts about them. We especially enjoyed the ‘bear trail’, having a photo at every bear!! We also participated in a mini beast workshop. During our workshop we learnt about what makes an insect and then went on a mini beast hunt. Finally we arrived back at school safely, despite an unexpected journey back! Thank you to all the adults who helped make a memorable adventure.

Maths Fest - Term 6

We had lots of fun during our Maths fest day! The theme was space so we used our maths knowledge to uncrack the codes for each planets, visited an astronaut shop and solved problems. We also made paper space rockets and measured how far they went. We then put the measurements on a block graph to show who went the furthest.

Term 5

In art we looked at the famous artist Kandinsky. We used a range of media (watercolour, paint, pastels and colour pencils) to create our own version of his 'Colour Study, Squares with Concentric Circles' piece.
