Candling of the eggs - We had a teams call with Liz from farmlink who talked us through how to candle the eggs. We then had a go ourselves. We saw the egg sack and veins, it was very exciting!

Clay artwork - we were inspired by the patterns on African Dogon masks to create our clay discs.

Spaceship crash landing! Something very exciting happened that this morning. During our phonics session, Mrs Palmer came in to tell us that she had found something on the playground – she thought it was a spaceship that had crashed! We went out to explore it and then when we came back in there was a picture of a creature on the board with a spaceship that had crashed in the background. We thought the picture may have been taken in our playground so we have been keeping a look out all day for some more clues of what could have happened…. We discovered from the board that it may be part of a story and that the creature’s name is Beegu. We came up with lots of questions about what we had found. Please see below some photos of what we found.

YETI DAY - On Monday we had a Yeti day where we talked about the power of yet. We took part in some growth mindset challenges, thought about what we can't do yet but what we could do to help us get there. We also named our class Yeti and created our own Yetis to remind us that we may not be able to do it yet-i but we will soon!

Science - We did a pepper experiment to test how important soap is.

Chives Superhero artwork - We used the skill of pointillism to create our superhero artwork.
