Science Week

Our science week focus was 'our diverse world'. During the week we focused on Climate Change and thought about what we could do to make a difference. One area we focused on was our coral reefs and using edible materials we made polyps.

World Book Day

We really enjoyed immersing ourselves in the text 'Storm Whale' We explored the language and emotions in the story and did some cross-curricular learning.

Printing art work - We learnt about Picasso and then made our own string printing using cardboard and elastic bands. We had lots of fun printing with them.

This is Me! We have been sharing a skill that we have that makes us unique. We have been teaching our skill to the rest of the class.

We have been learning about the significant achievements of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We have been learning particularly about the Suspension bridge. We were inspired by Brunel to explore suitable materials, design and make our own bridges. We then tested how many cars our bridges could hold and wrote up our evaluations.

John Wesley Day - We did some research on John Wesley and then sketched a portrait of him using different pencils, oil pastels and we rolled paper for his hair.

Democracy - we voted for the real life person we thought was a superhero. We posted our votes in a ballot box and counted up the votes. Both classes majority voted for Florence Nightingale.

Together we inspire, through our Christian values, unique individuals who believe they can achieve more than they ever thought possible in mind, body and spirit. Through nurture and challenge, we provide a firm foundation to enable all to thrive, to lead and serve in their life long journey as local, national and global citizens.
