Week Ending 14/09/18
In English we have been doing descriptive writing, looking at how adjectives can improve our writing, and using this to create missing posters and diary entries linked to our key text, the BFG.
In Maths, we have been developing our understanding of place value, looking at different ways to represent numbers to 1000 and estimating values on number lines.
In Science, we carried out an experiment to introduce our topic of changing materials, where the children had to find the quickest way to melt ice cubes. After this, they wrote explanations to detail how they carried out their experiment and what the results were.
In English, we will be learning about synonyms and using imagery to improve our descriptive writing of giants.
In Maths we will be continuing to look at place value, by seeing how numbers change when adding an subtracting 1, 10 and 100.
We will also be learning about evaporation in Science, and how different matter can be changed.
In RE we will be learning about the Prodigal Son.
