Week ending 30/11/18
This week the children have been writing their own Stone Age stories based on the Stone Age Boy, where a Stone Age child falls into Trinity and is shown lots of modern day delights, the children were particular keen to show the Stone Age child lots of different food and take them to Costa!
In Maths we have been continuing to learn the 3, 4, and 8 times tables, solving multiplication and division problems using number lines and multiplication facts.
In Science, the children learned about different properties of rocks and how these make them suitable for different purposes, we looked around the school and found different examples of rocks in use in buildings.
The children also made cave safety posters, sharing their own ideas and tips for staying safe in preparation for our trip on Monday.
We will of course be learning first hand about how Stone Age people survived in Cheddar Gorge and Caves!
In Maths we will be looking at solving multiplication problems, division with remainders and how multiplication and division facts are related.
In Science we will be looking at how rocks can change over time and what can cause this, which will link in to how Cheddar Gorge was formed.
