Week ending 9/11/18
Our learning this week:
Firstly a huge congratulations to all the children who performed amazingly in their presentations this week thank you so much for the support you offered them it was lovely to see so much hard work! This week we begun exploring our new text 'Stone Age Boy' by trying to put ourselves in the boy's shoes after he traveled back in time! We created noun phrases for caves and tried our best to answer questions on a fictional story about tigers. In History we looked at a timeline of the Stone Age and put key dates onto it. In PSHE we started discussing the importance of family and dealing with conflict. We also looked at the expanded column method for subtraction and completed our first assessment in Reading!
Next week we will be finishing our work on written methods with subtraction and will be beginning to multiply and divide and look at the different ways of doing that. We will be writing setting descriptions and going deeper into how a character might be feeling by writing in role. In Science we will be using chocolate to create different rock shapes and of course will be having a Stone Age feast!
