EYFS New Starters
Tours for September 2026 new pupils
Welcome to Trinity Methodist Anglican Primary School
We would like to take this opportunity to offer a huge welcome to those of you who have been offered a school place with us for September 2025. We cannot wait to meet the newest members of our school family (parents, carers and children) and look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you.
In the next few weeks, we will send further information to each of our new families to introduce ourselves and to begin to develop the vital relationship between school and home. We have a thorough induction programme designed to support you and your child in feeling well-prepared for starting school in September 2025.
For now, you do not need to do anything. Simply enjoy talking to your child about their school place when you feel ready and perhaps take the time to walk past school when you are out in the local community. Most importantly, enjoy the time you have with your child before school starts in September – it will be here before you know it!
We hope you are looking forward to the beginning of this new journey as much as we are.
Kind regards,
The Early Years Team

School Readiness
What is being ‘school ready’?
Research from PACEY has found that early years professionals, parents and teachers agreed that ‘school ready’ should mean that children:
- have strong social skills
- can cope emotionally with being separated from their parents
- are relatively independent in their own personal care
- have a curiosity about the world and a desire to learn.
Please see below for ideas to support your child in being emotionally and physically ‘ready’ for school.
