Our Local Community

Through our Oasis Team, our Learning Mentor works with local churches to give families the chance to come together to support each other and access new opportunities. There is coffee every week with guest speakers from time to time. Key events are organised annually such as E safety and Mindfulness - where invitations are extended to families from other local schools. Further opportunities are sign posted such as 'Love Portishead' and 'The Big Brunch' at the Methodist Church.

Through our Community Boards at the front of the school, we reach out to the community to share information in a thought provoking way eg Remembrance Day, Environmental Issues, Safety Matters as well as Religious Celebrations.


We have close links with the local Rotary Club and support their fundraising for local charities such as memory cafe and Young Carers.	Our Music Community Group sang Christmas carols at Waverley Court -our local residential home


Representatives from our Community Groups visited the New Rooms in Bristol. Their e books were sent to the Methodist Central Education Office and the children shared their learning in whole school worship.	Our House and Vice Captains visited a local Trust school and learnt about their school Christian values. They also led worship to share about our Christian vision and values at Trinity.
