Rowing Together
Rowing Together – Space to show resilience and compassion to nurture and challenge
Everyone is a member of the Crew, with no ‘passengers’. We row together, helping one another on our journey both in school and in the wider community. | |||
The analogy of the Learning Pit helps us understand about resilience which plays out across school life. | Regular activities in school enable us to show compassion: Harvest Festival where produce goes to Clevedon Food Bank; Community Groups, Charity fundraising events (National as well as specific to Trinity)… |
Our Learning Mentor works alongside the whole community to offer nurture and challenge. The Thrive approach is currently being further embedded to complement the work of Oasis with families and the Lighthouse with children across the school. A mindfulness approach is encouraged through our PSHE programme – Jigsaw. | Whole school challenges are set every year to inspire children to do their very best in specific areas eg Reading and Times Tables. An outdoor pursuits residential visit is planned annually for yr 6. |
