School Meals
Children may bring either a sandwich box from home or have a school meal.
Children in Reception, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a Universal free school meal. No payment needs to be made. Your child simply needs to tell the teacher each day if they require a meal.
Children in Y3 - Y6 may be entitled to a free school meal. It is important that if you think you are eligible for free school meals, you register as soon as your child starts school in Reception. Please ask in the school office if you are unsure about this. More information is below and in the attachment.
School Meals for Y3 - Y6 are £2.90. We ask parents to pay when booking a meal.Payment is made via ParentPay.
We require all meals to be booked in advance including those that are free. Booking closes on Wednesday evening of the week prior to the meal being taken. Booking is made via ParentPay for each child.
Packed lunches – Please can we remind everyone that sweets, chocolate or any item that contains nuts should not be included. Some ideas:
Starchy foods like bread, rice, potatoes or pasta.
Protein foods like meat, fish, eggs or beans.
A Dairy item, like cheese or yogurt.
Vegetables or salad and a portion of fruit.

Parents do not need to reapply for free school meals in the school holidays. If they do reapply, it is possible that they may find their new application is unsuccessful. A notice has been put on the free school meals checker to let people know not to reapply if their child is already entitled.
